TAK Tracker - A Battery Efficient Blue Force Tracking Application
TAK Tracker is a free Blue Force Tracking application, designed for Android users who need an alternative to ATAK. It is a "send-only" version of ATAK, and there is no map. The program is extremely feature limited and cannot be used to send missions, data, or files.
TAK Tracker supports TAK Server Enrollment for ease of configuration and is more battery efficient than ATAK. It can be used for Blue Force tracking and supports chat messaging to other TAK devices. However, the chat function can only send messages to ALL CHAT ROOMS on the server you are connected to.
To use TAK Tracker, make sure it is downloaded and installed from Google Play. The Android device's location must be turned on, and trust and client certs must be on your device. To activate the emergency beacon, select the emergency icon from the toolbar, slide the two sliders to the right and tap "OK." Emergency alarms are only visible on your TAK network and must be configured to interface with other emergency services.
